The Arc US Strategic Plan Addresses Equality

Self Advocate Coordinator

The Arc of the United States has been working on it’s strategic plan for advancing

Access, Equality & Inclusion.

Did you know that in the world of equality, “Ableism” means a system that treats people differently based on beliefs about how peoples’ bodies and minds should work?

The Arc is working to change practices so that everyone is valued and no one is treated differently based on appearance, behavior, communication, or the ability to be “productive.”
