The Arc ECT launches the Cookie Truck — a mobile extension of The Cookie Factory in Woodstock.

This spring, The Arc Eastern Connecticut launched an accessible Cookie Truck as a mobile extension of The Cookie Factory in Woodstock, enabling our participants to experience retail sales at various community events and other locations. Our Cookie Truck also serves as ‘a vehicle’ to bring attention to our new anti-bullying campaign. “This truck is a game-changer for our agency and the people we serve,” said CEO Kathleen Stauffer. “It not only increases diverse job training opportunities for people with IDD, but also sends a message of inclusion and equality.”

The Cookie Truck is available for rent at all types of events – from kids’ birthday parties, to company picnics, corporate events and more. “There’s nothing more exciting that seeing our bright red Cookie Truck roll up and hand out our freshly-baked cookies and milk.” said Kristine Tartaro, Executive Pastry Chef at The Arc ECT Cookie Factory.

The Cookie Truck is also a great advertising opportunity for local businesses. This unique ‘mobile billboard’ puts your business’ logo prominently on the side of the vehicle for an entire year. When you sponsor the Cookie Truck you’ll be showing your support for people with IDD looking to develop their skills in the culinary industry. The Cookie Truck is planning to be on-site at a multitude of community events — your chance to show your company’s support of The Arc ECT to thousands of community members.

“We’re proud to partner with The Arc ECT and The Cookie Truck is a great way for Mercedes-Benz of New London to show our support for this incredible organization to the wider community.” said Tom Shanley, General Manager of Mercedes-Benz of New London.
